HAPPY 2017! I did so much more than I blogged about and life passed me by and I tried to write all about it and couldn’t. But I wanted to do this post on January 1: 16 outfits I wore in 2016 that you wish you wore. Sounds sassy because it it! So here are my sixteen favorite outfits in not really an order (I tried to but then I would look at my camera roll and go “WHAT WHEN DID I WEAR THAT OMG *INSERT IMAGE*”
PSA: you have seen some of these outfits from other blog posts so deal with it

sixteen: Starting with this dress you saw in my last blog post. This baby blue turtle neck is from Topshop and is one of the best dresses I’ve ever purchased. You can dress it up or wear it with sandals (never wear flip flops oh dear no) to the beach. I suggest you get something like this, or this exact one… let’s match in 2017.

fifteen: OVERALLS WERE SO UNDERRATED THIS YEAR! These super soft and comfortable overalls are from Maxwell, and one of the most expensive things I purchased in 2016. No regrets though because they make my butt look amazing and are super easy to throw on. It is super cute if you wear an off the shoulder blouse under, I suggest hitting up Brandy for those. You can also see my Marc Jacobs bag and my SNS nails, which were also VERY underrated so everyone start getting SNS to save your nails this year. New Year new healthy you so start with your nails ladies.

fourteen: I know you’ve seen this outfit literally everywhere, but I’m obsessed with it. I don’t know if it’s actually the velvet plunge playsuit from Topshop itself, or the fact that this was my favorite birthday ever. I also love velvet everything so that makes it amazing! Not much more to say since this picture is on three people’s instagrams and now twice on my blog.

thirteen: this outfit was actually a terrible choice for being outside in the 40 degree weather but I looked hot so it worked. I’m wearing a special Free City shirt from the LACMA “Artists Wanted” collection paired with a vintage Levi’s denim skirt and this mauve bomber jacket that I do not know how I obtained actually. My shoes are from Topshop that I bought ten minutes before a college frat party (I’m so cool) that ended up being a white trash party and I was the only one in heels. But I ended up getting the best shoes ever that I now wear with every outfit! I also have my hair in a half up floppy bun and half down: a hair style that I will continue for the rest of my life; my hair is always like this.
twelve: my homecoming dress from BEBE. everything about this picture of my best friend mallory and I is perfect. My dress is the most beautiful thing ever and this lighting. wow just wow. leaving it there.

eleven: I will never stop taking pictures in front of my garage by the way. This outfit was worn to the Chapman dance show and I am obsessed! You can never go wrong with off the shoulder tops since they look casual but fancy at the same time and it’s wondrous! I am wearing a tight black skirt and gold heels from Steve Madden. Those heels are my go to party shoes because I can dance all night without hurting or falling over.

ten: okay so this is a mirror selfie and my hand is so fancy but whatever the lighting was nice. So first my hair is in two front pig tails with the rest down. This is my other go to hair style, the other being the half up floppy bun. This wrap butterfly sleeve shirt is a burnt sienna color and from Anthropology. I hate the color orange, but I think burnt sienna is my color; so conflicted right now thinking about it. The pants are black with a large burnt sienna grid print, also from Anthropology. Shout out to Kyleen who watched my selfie photo shoot go down. Everyone needs a Kyleen in 2017, someone who takes candids and supports your selfies.

nine: this outfit is pretty plain but I was really feeling it. So first you see the floppy bun, what’s new. I am wearing a stripped long sleeve from, wait for it, ABERCROMBIE!!!!! Paired with high waisted jeans from Seven For All Mankind and a windbreaker from Brandy that everyone loves! Fun story: I spilled frosting on the jacket and almost cried since I was laughing so hard. Also this wall is so sick and it’s in my friend Marriott’s room. AMAZING. ALSO: I wore pink jelly sandals with this outfit. I think they are very fashionable and got compliments, so hate on me if you want.

eight: THIS FIT!!! I wore this to Celine Dion’s concert at Caeser’s Palace, one of the best nights of my life. I started crying before she even walked out. Anyway, my hair is slightly purple and in the piggy tails. i’m wearing a long sleeve leotard with a mesh V neck, that you can’t see, from Discount Dance and overly ripped mom jeans (best purchase of 2016) from Topshop, and my shoes from Urban Outifitters that I got in Texas. I’m holding a Coach baby blue purse that is SO cute and surprisingly so much. Also this background… My mom saw this wall when she was walking, called me and said she found a photo spot I would obsess over. She was right. God bless this wall.

seven: Since I mentioned my purple hair, I thought maybe you would like to see! This hair made every outfit amazing. I
dyed it one day with Kyleen, who did hers a rose gold color. I’m wearing a blue bralette from PINK and light wash, high waisted mom jeans from Urban. You can also see my super glow-y highlight provided by the color “Purple Horseshoe” from the Anastasia Beverly Hills “Moon Child” hight light pallet. That pallet is amazing and my second best purchase of 2016. Also my garage is in this and I realize my garage is more famous than I am (raise your hand right now if you have pictures in front of my garage on your feed, which I know you do)

six: Same bralette from the last outfit (it has darts so don’t start) and same garage. I’m wearing a sheer glitter long sleeve from Brandy and my jean skirt from Levi’s. My belt is actually my mom’s from the 80’s! It’s sort of holographic and SO small. She was so tiny! I had to make another hole so I could actually wear it! My makeup, which I know you can’t really see, was super good this day. I should be taking pictures of it.

five: okay so this isn’t an outfit and you saw another version of this on my insta, but my makeup was too good Christmas eve. I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills “Modern Renaissance” pallet. Using the eyeshadow names to explain: I covered my lid in Tendra, then in my outer corner all the way through my crease to my inner corner I layered Golden Ochre, Warm Taupe, Love Letter, and Venetian Red, all using the brush given. On the outer corner I added more Love Letter and Venetian Red to make it darker. I then blended A TON. On my eye lid, I applied the color “High” from the Urban Decay Smokey pallet using my finger. I like to use my finger to apply glitter because it makes it more pigmented. I then added my trademark wing with the Lorac liquid eyeliner and applied Benefit Roller Lash mascara. And of course I then did my glam face makeup. I should provide videos one day.

four: okay so yea this is a mirror selfie, but we all know I take a million of those. This is the outfit I paired with the makeup above. I’m wearing the same leotard from Discount Dance that I wore to Celine Dion. I strongly recommend you give dance leotards a chance in being bodysuits. They are so comfortable and have more breathable material since they are made to have sweat in, so you can party all night and not stress about stains. I am wearing a maroon, corduroy button up skirt from Nordstroms, black velvet heels from Steve Madden, and a fur coat from Abercrombie. I AM SO EXTRA I KNOW!!! I LOVE IT! The fur coat is iconic.

three: honestly this outfit isn’t anything special, but I was, and still am, really feeling it. I toured SMU and I accidentally wore the school colors and everyone was all over it. This was when I realized I can pull of glasses outside of school and I think this outfit is important because it brought out something in me, and I also found my dream school in this outfit. I’m wearing a burgundy playsuit from Silence and Noise, sold at Urban, and a navy rain jacket from Athleta. The playsuit has been worn in baby blue and was seen in the blog post “boats boats boats.” This is me in front of SMU’s admissions building.

two: OKAY SO I REALIZE I AM NOT IN THIS AT ALL, but somehow I got zero pictures of my last night (???). But my outfit was really cool. I wore a light pink lace body suit with roses on it from Stella Laguna. I wore my overly ripped jeans too! I saw partynextdoor on New Year’s Eve, not Travis Scott like my whole school.

AND NUMBER ONE: this is my favorite outfit from 2016! I know I re-wear lots of items, but I bought them so I am going to wear them and rock it. WEAR WHAT YOU ARE FEELING! So I am wearing a CDG shirt, my favorite brand, my super ripped mom jeans from Topshop and my heels from Urban. Shout out to my favorite person Brian Neilson, who is a better photographer than me and my camera only likes him, for taking this picture. This was taken on the bridge near fashion island. Check out my VSCO, link below, for more picture of Brian and I! note: I am an amazing photo editor so send me your pictures!
Thank you for making it through this super long blog, but it makes up for my lack of posts. I’m bringing these outfits into 2016 along with patterned pants, a trend I predict for 2017 because I am all over that. Kick white jeans out and give me some stripes ladies.
I can’t wait to see what adventures 2017 takes me on and to share them with you! I am going to spread this blog so get the word out there!
