YES A BLOG POST WOW SO RARE.
okay life is so busy and I’m just waiting for next weekend when my trips begin! Anyway, I’m going to blog a lot today, who knows if they will be fantastic (but they probably will because they always are).
So my first blog post of the day is going to be going back to two weekends ago. Two weeks ago we went down to Splashes restaurant in Laguna. Splashes is located in the Surf and Sand Resort and is nestled in the sand right on the water… literally. If you sit in the lower section by the glass windows, waves splash right up against you. This restaurant is pretty nice, but I wouldn’t say fancy since many guests stroll in in their “vacation outfits” if you know what I mean.
Anyway, my family goes down to Splashes once a year for my parents anniversary. We get dressed up and order everything we want. And I emphasize everything. I ordered the pork chop with mashed potatoes AND scalloped potatoes. My father ordered the halibut and Shelby (aka my mother) ordered the salmon and a bunch of sides. The food is all very good, so you can never go wrong with what you order. Even their drinks are fantastic. Over all the times I’ve been there, I think my favorite item was the halibut. It doesn’t taste too fishy and it’s cooked to perfection. Splashes doesn’t have the best dessert, but their coffee is some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. You can just tell from the color that it’s going to taste like heaven on caffeine. What really makes this eating experience different from every other restaurant is the fact that you are eating on the beach in a high class setting. You are sitting there watching the waves and sunset (even though you all know I hate sunsets) eating some of the best food ever just having the time of your life.
So like I said, I like getting dressed up for our annual dinner so let me tell you about my outfit! I wore a turtle neck type, light blue dress from Topshop with white heels from Steve Madden. All of my instagram followers loved those shoes so now you know where they are from. I wore my hair in a messy bun and wore light face makeup. I, for once, did not wear any eyeshadow, but instead went with extreme lashes. I loved this look and wished I could look like that at school everyday. You might be asking, “why can’t she???” Well, I don’t want to wake up an hour earlier to do that! You don’t really need to get this dressed up for Splashes, but why not? Getting dressed up is so much fun and I believe that it builds your self confidence. Not that you shouldn’t be confident in your sweats, but you feel like you own the world when you walk in heels. Ladies you feel me.

Okay well that’s my short and sweet blog post for you. I really just wanted an excuse to show you these pictures of me in front of my hella famous garage.
Y’all should make your way down to Splashes because I always have the time of my life with my family there. It’s like a bonding experience!
