friendsgiving

LONG TIME NO SEE! Hope everyone has been great, I’ve been great! I’m actually going to blog a lot this month (most likely a false promise) because I’m doing lots of fun things! Today we had a friends-giving since a lot of us won’t be here for Thanksgiving or for break. It was the first time all six of us successfully attended a planned event. Shout out to Amanda for coming for an hour, just glad you made it bff.

The feast was held at Alli’s house and she decorated it so cute. There were leaves, a cute fall wreath, and lots of candles. Also, we had so much food! I feel like everyone just got my favorite food because we had chicken pot pie, mac and cheese, and asparagus. Alli set up a caramel apple station for dessert, which is such a brilliant idea. She melted the caramel herself and had us all dip our apples in different toppings like sprinkles and chocolate chips. Very delicious!

I love fall vibes and everyone really dressed up to it. I wore a lightweight sparkly sweater  from Topshop with a burgundy button down skirt from Brandy Melville, paired with booties from BP and a fur coat. Amanda wore basically the exact same thing as me (just best friend things), but her top was from Free People and her skirt was from Abercrombie. Mallory looked super sassy wearing a dress and thigh high boots from American Eagle. Haley wore a shirt she made and an AWESOME black fur jacket from Forever 21. I know how shocking, Forever 21. I have only been in once and I was overwhelmed. I don’t know why everyone is shopping there all of a sudden, but every time someone says they got something from there, it ends up being cute! Alli and Kat both looked super cute, especially since they are so photogenic and Alli’s star boots were DOPE!

I think everyone should have a friends-giving because it’s so important to sit down and have a dinner with your close friends, reminisce and feel blessed. I am so thankful for those five girls and would not have wanted to sit at a dinner table and shove my face with food while talking about dumb things we’ve done and said with anyone else. If you have a friends-giving too, here are my tips! Make sure you plan a couple days before and make a list of who is brining what, and make sure EVERYONE contributes and bring something. That way it takes stress off of the host! Also, don’t wait too late in the day to feast because if you want to take pictures, it will be too dark if you eat at a normal time, due to daylight savings. And my last tip is to just feel blessed. You never know how much longer all of your high school friends will be together at one dinner table, so live it up! That is so cheesy, but college is so close and I’m sad, I can’t live without these girls!!!

Thanks y’all for reading! I have another friends-giving with my south county dance ladies on Monday and I hope you have one this week too! Thanks to my girls for a great feast tonight, you guys are okay.
