In loving memory of fifteen, you will be missed.
HEY! I’M SIXTEEN NOW!
So my birthday was last weekend and it was one for the books.
On Sunday, adventure team came over (in case you forgot that’s Olivia, Amanda, Mallory, Alli, Raiya, and me) and we drove down to Laguna. Of course, before we left we took a bunch of pictures with mylar balloons. Many people this year have been posing with number balloons and I love this trend. I think it’s super cute and adds something special to your picture.

Anyway, we drove down to Laguna to have dinner at Skyloft. Skyloft is located next to Tommy Bahamas and is known for their roof top dining. In addition to the famous rooftop loft, they have an inside bar area with live music. You cannot make reservations for the loft, so what we did was make a reservation for the bar area then waited till a spot opened up upstairs. When it was finally our turn, we walked upstairs, I kind of got hit on jokingly by the hosts (it’s low-key it’s fine but they were super hot), then sat at what they said was the best table here. It was such a beautiful view and at some points throughout the night people were blowing bubbles and it was so magical.
Next came ordering food, which was really difficult since their menu has a wide range of food choices. I ordered the mahi-mahi with rice and a side of mac and cheese. This was one of the best meals I have ever eaten in my entire life. The mahi mahi reminded me of Hawaii and the mac and cheese now sits in my top five favorites, which is a big deal since I am on a quest for the best mac and cheese. Side note, if you know any good mac and cheese places, contact me in any way you can. Okay continuing, Alli and Amanda ordered the spicy mac and cheese, Mallory ordered the shrimp lime pasta, which looked really good, Olivia got the tomato burger, and Raiya got the rotisserie chicken. Everyone enjoyed their food and it all looked delicious. The other item I was deciding between was the fried chicken sandwich, which is a favorite of the workers there. For desert we ordered the chef’s special key lime cake, which wasn’t on the menu, and the flour less chocolate cake, all of this in addition to the interesting bread desert they gave me for my birthday. The chocolate cake was to die for and you have to order it when you go, don’t let the flour less part scare you away.
What we wore: My romper is a black velvet playsuit from Topshop and my heels are from Steve Madden. Olivia’s romper is from Tilly’s and Raiya’s floral dress is from Forever 21. Mallory’s white top is from nordstroms, her cute shorts and from Urban Outfitters, and her shoes are Jeffery Campbell. Everyone looked gorgeous and their makeup was perfect. Go us!
All in all, this night was filled with so many laughs, new inside jokes were created, rap music and throwback songs were sung, cute pictures were taken, and love was shown. I am so in love with these girls and beyond thankful for them. Shoutout to adventure team for making me the luckiest girl in the world, you’re the best friends I have ever had.
On my actual birthday, I went to dinner with my day 1, Lauren. We went to Hannah’s Steak House in Rancho Santa Margarita. We shared the french dip sandwich, which is one of my faves, the house chips, butter cake (which is what they are famous for), and an arugula salad that I would not recommend. Just get steak at a steak house for heaven’s sake Camille. I also drove Lauren through a parking lot and I am a terrible drive so that was fun.
I hope this short blog inspires you to party at Skyloft, since they have amazing food and workers. Speaking of workers, if you go, say hey to Pierce. We have a major crush on him…
Thank you to everyone who made this day one to remember forever!
MUCH LOVE!!
