Ahoy!

Yesterday we celebrated Mallory’s birthday and I had the time of my life!

We climbed aboard Mallory’s boat and sailed on over to The Cannery. Situated on the Newport waters, The Cannery is a seafood restaurant that serves amazing sushi rolls, sashimi, salads, as well as other “American” style options. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and it was some of the best I’ve had, which was surprising since this isn’t a restaurant that focuses on Asian food.

After dinner, exploring the cute restaurant, and getting lost looking for the bathrooms (we ended up in the kitchen somehow), we took pictures on the dock. We then got back on the boat and sailed over to Balboa Pier. Balboa pier is a photographers dream. All the bright colors and amusement park attractions made me so happy and filled my storage with bright pictures. All of us went on the Ferris Wheel and it was terrifying. I’m so scared of heights and have never been on a Ferris Wheel before, so I was super nervous. I held on to Mallory’s hand the whole time and I wouldn’t have wanted to be scared to death with anyone else (love u mal).

holding on to Mallory for dear life!!!

Once the ride was over we walked down to Ruby’s on the pier to get milkshakes and enjoy the sunset. There was this group of kids there, one of the girls wearing the same thing as me (you can imagine how that went down), and they were making comments about the pictures we were taking, but I think they turned out pretty good! We ended the night by sailing back to main dock. The boat ride was so pleasant and I just loved spending time on the water, listening to Alli’s sweet music, and being with my girls.

What we wore: I honestly only know where Alli’s and my outfit were from, but trust me everyone looked super cute. I wore a light blue romper from Urban Outfitters with black Tory Burch sandals and a jean jacket from Ralph Lauren. My romper was all open back and blew up in the wind a lot so it probably wasn’t the best choice but oh well I looked cute. Alli’s blue patterned romper is also from Urban Outfitters and she wore Too Faced melted lipstick in chocolate cherries.

Side note: Alli spoke in Australian accent for a good amount of this night and it was probably the highlight of my week.

I got to go on this amazing adventure because of Mallory’s birthday, but I highly suggest that one day this summer you spend some time on a duffy boat. It’s so peaceful, but so much fun at the same time, especially when you’re with your closest friends!

As usual this was short and sweet, but I had to share! Plus I have cute pictures.

THANKS!!!
